Pre-Conference Webinar Events

The Spring Conversations Series

April to June 2021

From Critique to Possibilities

We are delighted to bring you the second series of pre-conference webinar events in the run-up to the conference MUŻE.X - Shaping Museum Futures. Three international voices from the museum world shall be in conversation with the conference convenors Prof Carmel Borg and Dr Sandro Debono. The one-hour conversations shall revolve around participatory practices, creativity in museums, and collections-development practices in response to the new realities imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each conversation will explore different facets of museum practice at the intersection of critique and possibility. While the need for critical reflection continues, in terms of the necessary rethinking for museums, be it in scope, purpose, ambition or ethos, the emphasis of the Spring series will be on concrete exploration and experimentation.
